We are pleased to announce that our popular cookery school is now taking bookings for 2016 courses. All lessons will be hosted in person by chef/proprietor Steve Lloyd. Course content is listed below.

We offer private lessons for small groups (maximum 3 per group) giving a unique opportunity for tuition with head chef Steve, maximising both involvement & personal contact time.

The prices for each daily session is only 85.00 / person which includes use of all equipment, provision of ingredients, fully documented course materials including a supplier directory for spices, & a delicious lunch with dishes prepared & freshly cooked during the course.

Classes are held at the restaurant Tuesday - Friday between 10.30 a.m. & 1.30 p.m.

We can if you wish be flexible and run courses on  different days which are convenient to you, subject to availability.

New for 2016

By popular demand I will be running a small number of 1 to 1 individual tuition in Indian cuisine on Saturday mornings. The course covers all of the introductory course syllabus as well as more advanced elements and dishes. The price is only 150 and includes lunch & drinks for the course participant and a partner.

Introduction to Indian Cuisine

An ideal starter for anyone wishing to add authentic Indian cookery skills to their repertoire. Starting with the preparation of home made spice mixes, and sauces, basic tikka & tandoori dishes & leading to the preparation of the full repertoire of restaurant curries. At the end of this course you will be able to produce a wide range of authentic restaurant curries ( eg korma, balti, jalfrezi, tikka masalla etc) from basic ingredients and spices.

Introduction to Thai Cuisine

An introduction to this increasingly popular cuisine, covering the basics of ingredients, preparation and use of pastes & sauces, popular restaurant dishes including Thai curries, Pad Thai & Fishcakes, cookery methods & where to source authentic ingredients.
